Celebrities for my characters
CASTING THE CHARACTERS
Readers have asked me what I think my characters look like. Theyve also asked what actors and actresses would play the characters in my books, so I decided to add this page to my website to satisfy my readers curiosity. Im sure that your mental image of my characters is quite different than mine (in fact, these movie stars merely resemble my own mental images of my characters.) If you have a different opinion, please post it to my blog, which unfortunately doesnt accept photos, so include a link to any pictures you might have.
Gabriel RenaultA cross between Ralph Fiennes and Nick Lachey. But toughen up both those men first!

Count Down on Time to Run
Is it February yet??
For those of you who noticed that Westy kept trying to take over IN THE DARK, you'll be pleased to pick up a copy of his own story. TIME TO RUN will be hitting the shelves quite soon. Some of you read the "teaser" at the back of the last book. If you did, you'll be puzzled to note that the scene in the teaser doesn't even show up in the book. The reason? My editor thought that it slowed down the pace of the story, so it got axed!
Not to fret, though. Just think of the teaser as Sara's secret fantasy. Who wouldn't want to hop on the back of a Harley Davidson with nothing to hold onto but a ripped Navy SEAL? It's certainly my fantasy!

Count Down
June is soon around the corner, when readers can crack open the second book in my Navy SEAL series, IN THE DARK.
In the meantime, I'm having a fabulous time finishing my third book in the series, TIME TO RUN, featuring bad boy chief petty officer, Chase McCaffrey. Chase makes a habit out of sleeping with married women, who have no expectations beyond a fabulous roll in the sack--just the sex, ma'm. But wait till he falls head over heels with a woman unlike any he's ever known. She happens to be married, too, but that's not Chase's solution this time. That's his biggest problem.
Back to the drawing board, so to speak...
Stay tuned,
Marliss

Finishing Up IN THE DARK
Dear Reader,
In the two weeks prior to Thanksgiving, I am putting the finishing touches on the second book in my Navy SEAL trilogy: IN THE DARK, which will arrive on bookshelves in June, 2005.
I have enjoyed putting two very different, very charismatic characters together--Luther Lindstrom, former professional football player, and Hannah Geary, analyst for the DIA. While they may seem at the outset to be very different (one composed, the other impulsive; one cautious the other fearless) they nonetheless discover that they fulfill each other in the deepest ways. Sebastian and Leila reappear to add sizzle and sensuality in this fast paced, highly suspenseful sequel to FORGET ME NOT. I have enjoyed writing it.
Here's wishing you a lovely Thanksgiving, 2004. May you find plenty of time to relax and read. Don't forget to look for FORGET ME NOT, appearing in bookstores on December 1st! I know you're going to love it.
Yours,
Marliss
